One of the most common phrases people use about yoga is that they want to "detoxify"


Can you really detoxify yoga? What does that really mean?


In the new Quietmind Yoga Podcast I share an approach to this rooted in Ayurveda, about reducing ama (toxins) and supporting agni (digestive fire / metabolism / focus).


Here are some symptoms of ama buildup:

  • Feeling weak, heavy and sluggish.
  • Indigestion, acid reflux, excessive burping.
  • Excessive salivation
  • White ccoating on tongue (check it when you wake up, and use a tongue scraper to get it off your tongue).
  • Gas, bloating and constipation. Lack of taste and smell.
  • Cloudy thinking, memory loss.
  • Obstruction of bodily process (swelling, pain, inflammation)
  • Fluid retention.
